iThrive Kids™ Emotion Regulation and Resilience Program
iThrive Kids is an 8-week program that runs every fall and spring and helps 9- to 11-year-olds build emotion regulation and resilience now for the teen years. Here are a few facts about iThrive Kids:
- It is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Collaborative Problem Solving.
- It is appropriate for children with characteristics associated with emotional intensity. This may include an emotionally sensitive child or one who is gifted, 2e, anxious, or has ADHD or ASD.
- In addition to working directly with children, iThrive offers individual parent coaching.
- Preliminary outcome data suggests a significant reduction in behaviors of concern following completion of the program.

Why is Emotion Regulation Important?
Research shows that emotion regulation can lower a child's risk of mental health problems down the road, including depression and anxiety. The iThrive Kids program addresses issues before the teen years, when risk factors for mental health problems increase significantly. |
